Beginners day 1

I purchased what was told to be a solid entry level guitar by many a nerds. The Pr-150 is pretty much where you want to start off when it comes to Entry level guitars ( or at least around this price point). I purchased the guitar from an online retailer called Musicians Friends and they had the guitar on sale from 150 to 120. The free delivery and no taxes in the state of Florida basically made it a no-brainer.

I should also start off by saying that I’ve never played a “real” musical instrument in my life; Sorry folks the recorder and percussion sticks aren’t instruments. With no prior experience in keeping rhythm or playing anything this was one of the hardest endeavors I’ve had to take on. Basically I’ve been bombarded by trying to learn everything that comes to music and somehow tell my brain to work in a way its never worked before.

Without lying to you ( nobody because nobody comes here ) I spent over 1 hour to get to this point

I would like to thank a couple of people –

  • Guitar Jamz – Horse with no brain tutorial
  • Mark over at Silversound Guitar for getting me hooked onto wanting to play a guitar. He has also provided me with PDFs and access to their teaching module. Right now I’m learning the basics through his module and hope to get better soon!

Hopefully day 2 is less noise and more music!
